Registrations have now closed but it is still possible to register.  Please register on the form below and pay immediately and print a copy of the confirmation and bring it to SOS.

Registration Costs

Week-long registration will be:

$140 (Regular unwaged)
$190 (Regular waged)
$250 (Sponsoring someone who can’t afford it)

If you register for part of the conference:

Daily registration will be $30/day (unwaged) and $45/day (waged)

Information About Subsidies:

If you require a subsidy or waive of your registration costs:

  • Deadline for subsidy applications 19th June. (That is, officially register by the 19th of June by filling out the registration form and completing the section requesting a subsidy)
  • We will not be subsidising anyone who comes on short-haul flights (less than 3 hours time in the air)
  • We encourage anyone who receives a subsidy to take advantage of the opportunity by being involved in the movements in the next 12 months.
  • We prioritise subsidies for socially, economically and geographically marginalised people.
  • We require that all recipients of subsidies first seek alternative methods of funding.  For example from their student association or local MP.  A link to a useful template is available on the Registration Page of the website.
  • If people are unable to get funding people should indicate how much they are able to pay without causing financial distress and then negotiating.
  • A small number of opportunities will be available for subsidies in exchange for work at the conference.  If you are interested in this please indicate this on the registration form and we will contact you.

 

More Information

Included in your registration cost are three delicious meals each day, as well as camp sites on campus and all workshops.

[It would be greatly appreciated if you could register as soon as possible, even if you can't pay all the registration fee right now. This is just so we can be sure we have the right number of people to cater for, accommodate etc as early as possible. Depending on space available we may also have to cap attendance at 500 people.]

If, for whatever reason, you can’t pay the full rego price, please send us an email. It’d be really silly if people who wanted to come couldn’t because they can’t pay. Although we are currently tight for funds, we’d love to see you come! If you need to talk to us about a reduced fee, just send an email to rego@studentsofsustainability.org

We also strongly encourage all attendees to send an email/letter asking for individual sponsorship. It is really easy to do and often organisations, individuals or businesses will be happy to pay your conference fees. Here is a template you can use to write letters to your local council, MPs, and Rotary and community groups. So easy! Asking these groups and others for financial support is a really quick and easy way to raise cash to get to SoS. And it works!

If you missed it at the end of the form, payment instructions are here:

Please transfer your registration fee to the SOS Bank Account within 7 days of registering.

IMPORTANT:  Use your name as your transfer reference, for example if your name is Jemima Kowalski write your surname then your first name eg. “KOWALSKI JEMIMA” .  If your full name does not fit, write your surname then your initial, like “KOWALSKI J”.  Once transfered, print this page, or save it as a pdf on your computer.  We will need this record in order to locate your payment.  It is your responsibility to keep it.
